Coordinated by the Industrial Development Bureau, the "Taiwan Innotech Expo - Innovation Navigation Pavilion" for the year 2020 was launched today (24) at the World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Industrial Development Bureau focuses on forward-looking technologies from the 5+2 Industrial Innovation Program. The event features the participation of five major bureaus and offices, including the Industrial Development Bureau, Technical Department, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Ministry of National Defense, and National Development Council, as well as 33 international organizations such as Corning, Microsoft, Siemens, Cisco, and Logitech. The exhibition showcases four main themes: "New Healthcare," "Super Automation," "Total IoT," and "Cross Reality." These are complemented by four ecological scenarios: "National Defense Industry Ecosystem," "Disaster Prevention Solution Ecosystem," "Future Mobility Theme Zone," and "Technology Epidemic Prevention Theme Zone." In total, over a hundred cutting-edge innovative technologies are displayed, demonstrating the application of innovative technology and the latest international forward-looking technologies supported by government industrial policies.
The Innovation Navigation Pavilion aligns with global technology development trends and brings together technological research and development achievements from the five major bureaus and offices. It also invites 17 legal entities such as the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Institute for Information Industry, as well as 62 domestic companies, including New Kinpo Group, Delta Electronics, Chang Gung Medical Foundation, and He Cheng Xinye. Through a systematic and dynamic display, it presents key technologies in smart manufacturing, digital services, smart living, and technology-based epidemic prevention. In the New Healthcare theme area, the focus is on health and epidemic prevention-related technologies. Among them, the collaboration between the Industrial Technology Research Institute and He Cheng Xinye resulted in a long-lasting electrochemical chlorination technology. This technology utilizes electrochemical oxidation-reduction reactions to reduce residual chlorine in water to 0.1 mg/L. Through an automatic cleaning function, byproducts such as calcium and magnesium ions are removed, extending the equipment's service life by more than three times. Additionally, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration's guidance led to the exhibition of Adlink Technology's non-contact physiological monitoring and care system, which integrates body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory data. It boasts features such as real-time automatic monitoring, wearable-free design, and continuous monitoring, significantly reducing the burden on medical personnel.
Taiwan Innotech Expo continues to gather innovative technologies from around the world. It serves not only as a technology bridge between Southeast Asia and countries such as Europe, America, and Japan, but also as an international hub for the circulation of research and development achievements. This year's participating international companies include Corning, Microsoft, Siemens, Cisco, Logitech, and Thailand's national-level research institution NSTDA. They showcase a wide range of technologies spanning the automotive, chemical, energy, medical, and AI sectors. Among them, Siemens, a renowned industry leader, aligns with the expo's key theme of "Super Automation," presenting AI application PLC module technology that can be used with industrial robotic arms for product anomaly detection, highlighting innovative applications in smart manufacturing.
