The "Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE)" concluded successfully on September 28. This year's TIE invited 25 countries, 166 international organizations, and 369 domestic academic and research institutions to showcase over 1,000 pieces of technology and research outcomes. The event aimed to provide exhibiting participants and business attendees with more opportunities for technological collaboration.
TIE linked with several domestic intellectual property service providers qualified by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Industrial Development Bureau. These service providers set up an Intellectual Property and Technology Transaction Consultation Zone on the first floor of the exhibition area. They offered tailored services in intellectual property management, value enhancement, evaluation, legal matters, and more to domestic and international academic, research, and industry participants, thus fostering opportunities for technological exchange and collaboration.

In addition to offering services during the exhibition period at the Intellectual Property and Technology Transaction Consultation Zone, the aforementioned intellectual property service providers also recommended institutions with technology transaction needs to participate in TIE for technology demonstrations and presentations. They assisted in promoting technological collaboration or patent licensing for potential cases, thereby facilitating the circulation and utilization of patented technologies.
This year, Hao De Intellectual Property Services Co., Ltd. recommended a technology in the field of telecommunications for exhibition. The owner of the technology established a startup company based on this technology. With the assistance of Hao De Intellectual Property, they obtained a patent certificate for the invention, resolved intellectual property disputes, gained the trust of important investors, and successfully completed capital increase exceeding tens of millions of NT dollars in October. This capitalization allowed them to expand new businesses based on the telecommunications technology protected by patents. Hao De Intellectual Property continued to help them engage with potential technology collaboration partners and conducted technology presentations at TIE, aiming to create more business opportunities.
In another instance, Armor Patent & Trademark Agent Co., Ltd. integrated a total of 3 cases and 7 patents originally held by three different enterprises from the United States, Republic of China (Taiwan), and mainland China over the past two years to create added value combinations. To maximize the value of this patent portfolio, Armor acquired various related products for dismantling analysis and produced infringement comparison charts (claim charts) to identify potential licensing or cooperation partners. Actively participating in the TIE promotion platform, Armor served as an expert negotiator in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transaction Consultation Zone, seeking potential patent transaction partners. This year, Armor successfully granted licenses for this patent portfolio, enabling the effective realization of its maximum value and industry benefits.
