The 2018 Taiwan Innotech Expo concluded successfully on September 29th, after a three-day exhibition that showcased numerous innovative inventions from six major ministries, including the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Development Council, and Council of Agriculture. The event attracted a total of 45,000 visitors. In addition, the "International Zone" was set up to invite over 50 institutions from more than 20 countries, including Microsoft, Nissan, Amazon Web Services, to participate. A total of 502 technologies were exhibited across three main theme areas.
In the "Future Technology Pavilion," an IoT system was introduced to sense and record information of all visitors, enabling an "interactive experience." Visitors were provided with personalized RFID wristbands to gather preferences and business needs related to the showcased technologies.
Furthermore, guided tours were offered in the three main theme areas for domestic and international exhibitors, buyers, association members, resulting in 23 tours with 360 participants and numerous business opportunities. The aim was to enhance the matchmaking outcomes of this innovation and invention exhibition.
