Asia's Largest Innovation Technology Expo - Gathering Domestic and International Innovation Power, Three Key Highlights Showcasing Infinite Imagination of the Smart Future

Organized by six government agencies including the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Council of Agriculture, and National Development Council, the "Taiwan Innotech Expo" has made a spectacular appearance, with participation from 75 international institutions from 33 countries. A total of 1,115 technologies are showcased under the "Three Major Pavilion Scenarios", "Innovative Technologies Leading Intelligence", and "Connecting Local with Global" highlights, creating a platform to integrate domestic and international innovative technologies and forward-looking inventions fully. This event is considered the international-level hub of innovation research and transaction energy in Asia, revealing the wonderful transformation that innovative technologies will bring to life, industry, and entrepreneurship.

Engaging in sports while wearing smart clothing, instantly tracking calorie consumption, exercise intensity, and muscle contraction strength; installing WiFi digital peepholes to automatically record visitor images, smart monitoring for a safer life; smart devices playing the violin or cello automatically, producing beautiful music to enhance life's joy... Don't doubt it, the era where technology creates intelligence has fully arrived. From September 27th to 29th, 2018, a visit to the "Taiwan Innotech Expo" covers various innovative technologies in food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment. It allows people to envision a brilliant future of smart living and see the abundant energy of Taiwan's innovative technology, injecting a continuous source of momentum into shaping the world's intelligent future.

Three Key Highlights Presenting Innovative Technologies

Organized by government agencies including the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Council of Agriculture, and National Development Council, the "Taiwan Innotech Expo" has transformed from over ten editions of the "Taipei International Invention Show & Technomart" to become the "Taiwan Innotech Expo," repositioning the exhibition as an international-level hub for showcasing Taiwan's innovative research and development energy. With five major highlights throughout the event, the aim is to promote the results of technology transfer, authorization, and transactions, and drive the internationalization of Taiwan's technology business opportunities.

Three Major Pavilions: Future X Sustainability X Innovation

The "Taiwan Innotech Expo" is themed "Future, Sustainability, and Innovation," featuring three major pavilions: "Future Technology Pavilion," "Sustainable Development Pavilion," and "Innovative Invention Pavilion." These pavilions comprehensively present "5+2" industry innovations and forward-looking technologies, with the expectation of promoting technology transfer, authorization, and transactions, and driving the internationalization of Taiwan's technology business opportunities.
The "Future Technology Pavilion" presents research achievements that can be practically applied in industries within the next 3-5 years, such as the Internet of Things, AR/VR, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. It has invited 27 international companies including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Nissan Motor to exhibit products, technologies, or applications that will change human life in the future.
The "Sustainable Development Pavilion" covers research achievements that can achieve sustainable and happy homes over the next 10-20 years. For example, the integration of livestock manure and water for irrigation, pig farm biogas, and intelligent automated environmental control poultry houses and monitoring management systems, all showcased in the "Agricultural Circular Economy Park," demonstrate the realization of smart agriculture.
The "Innovative Invention Pavilion" mainly showcases innovative technologies that can be applied in response to societal needs and industry technology development within the next 3 years.

Innovative Technologies Transforming Human Life

Exploring the entire expo, a variety of innovative technologies and forward-looking inventions are dazzling, arousing anticipation for the arrival of a smart future life. First, the Institute of Textiles' wearable smart sportswear technology developed the world's first "Triathlete Smart Functional Garment," equipped with functional fabric with lightweight high elasticity, quick moisture absorption and drainage, elastic reflection, and thin pressure-reducing three-dimensional cushioning. It also incorporates sensing technologies such as textile array electrodes, ECG, and EMG to instantly detect the wearer's exercise intensity, muscle contraction strength, calorie consumption, and other physiological information.
Secondly, the "Feng Rong Passenger Self-driving Bus," which will be available for the public to ride during the 2018 Taichung Flora Expo, will showcase how autonomous vehicles use cloud-based central control platforms and vehicle network systems, leading people towards smart living and promoting balanced urban and rural development.
Moreover, the patented technology "Application of Artificial Intelligence to Automatic Lyric Composition, Composition, and Personalized Health Care" applies artificial intelligence learning models to automatic lyric composition and music rehabilitation. It generates suitable song sections based on situational needs, provides personalized music recommendations, and can be applied to rehabilitation and care to increase patients' willingness to engage in rehabilitation exercises. Equipped with a rehabilitation system, it assists rehabilitation therapists in assessing patients' rehabilitation progress using technology.

Connecting Internationally, Bridging Global Innovative Technologies

In order to connect local innovative resources and align with international innovation and entrepreneurship trends, the organizers have invited companies and startups from Japan, the United States, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and other regions to participate in the exhibition. In addition to international giants like Microsoft, Amazon, and Nissan, there are 22 startups from around the world and 20 institutions from 7 countries in the Southbound Policy, all contributing to the event. Taiwan is connecting with global innovative technologies, accelerating Taiwan's smart innovation, and driving industrial upgrading and transformation.
