"2018 Taiwan Innotech Expo-The Sustainability Pavilion" will exhibit with two main features “Sustainable Agri & Green Tech", and display the total 108 techniques of R & D results from the four governmental institutes (The Council of Agriculture, The Atomic Energy Council, Bureau of Energy, State-owned Enterprise Commission) in the fields of "New Agriculture" &"Green Energy Technology". All the techniques displayed in the "Sustainability" Pavilion can be transferred to the industry and facilitated the commercialization. And some of them are highlights with potential in this exhibition as follows:
1.The innovative mode of agricultural production and management - agrivoltaic farming
This new module integrates the existing crop production technologies to not only screening applicable crop species fitted to agrivoltaic farms but also developing corresponding adaptive ways of cultivation for an appreciable yield improvement. By considering the available resources and conditions of facilities, various operation systems for crop production from such farming-type photovoltaic facilities will be developed. The adaptation technology may include intelligent agricultural elements and regulatory practices for micrometeorological environment so as to stabilize the quantity and quality of crop production in facilities.
2.Agricultural Waste Reuse and Intelligent Poultry Farming
The displayed techniques are including the pressurized manure injection fertilization machine and intelligent poultry farming system. The feature of the former machine is composed of a PTO driven pressure device, a sealed vacuum manure tank, a manure pumping device with flexible tubes and connectors, a drag type carry frame and all. The other one (poultry farming intelligent model) can automatically detect temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide concentration, wind speed, water consumption, feed amount, poultry weight, etc. by various sensors, and collects various data to transmit to the internal system platform. When the system detects abnormal data, it can automatically turn on the device for regulation, and send a message to inform the feeding managers at the same time.
3.The mass production and application technique of natural enemies to control agricultural and horticultural pests
This technique system has established mass rearing process of natural enemies (Orius strigicollis (Poppius), Eretmocerus orientalis Silvestri, Acerophagus papaya Noyes and Schauff, Mallada basalis, Eocanthecona furcellata (Wolff), Dirhinus giffardii, and Telenomus bipunctata) and coordinated IPM technology to decrease lots of agricultural and horticultural pest, such like aphid, leafhopper, mealybug, mite, thrips, whiteflies, and lepidopterous pest in Taiwan.
4. Mass production technology for Bluestriped Angelfish (Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis)
The feature of this technique is to induce the wild catch Bluestriped Angelfish spawned in the captive tank without artificial ripening, and the fertilized egg was collected and moved to the rearing tank for hatching and mass production. When the metamorphosis complete and the fish achieve the commercial size, the zooplankton were replaced by the artificial diet to provide a healthy and easyraisedspecies to the consumer. By this technique, it can make up the shortage of originality in aquatic aquarium, and avoiding the natural ecosystems from damaged by human fishing.
In order to conform to the trend of "Sustainable Agri & Green Tech", the Sustainability Pavilion is not only to promote the top techniques from the four governmental institutes (The Council of Agriculture, The Atomic Energy Council, Bureau of Energy, State-owned Enterprise Commission) in Taiwan, but also to be the major platform for international R&D exchanging. If you are interested in the new R&D techniques and seeking the cooperative opportunities. Please feel free to visit the website https://tatm.coa.gov.tw to register “Technical transaction meeting”.
