Ultrasonic Ambient System for Separating Polyester/Cotton Blends

The Polyester/Cotton Blend Ultrasonic Ambient-Temperature Recycling System separates polyester/cotton blends by degrading cotton into cellulose, which disperses in water, while polyester retains its fiber form, achieving two-phase separation. Operating at 25°C, it offers high recovery rates and efficiency, addressing the challenge of recycling blended textiles. Its modular design lowers equipment development barriers, enhancing industry adoption. It could enable the recycling of 30 million tons of global textile waste.

Taiwan Textile Research Institute

Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI), with Taiwan Textile Testing Center as its first predecessor founded in December 1959, originally focused on the quality control and inspection of imported raw textile materials and exported textile products in Taiwan. In response to the rapid development of the domestic textile industry, the organization was renamed China Textile Institute in June 1971 and shifted its operation focus to the quality control, testing, and certification of textile suppliers and manufacturers.
