Development of smart inspection tool for pipelines

The ILI tool is a smart instrument that embedded with mutilple thickness sensors. We insert the tool into the pipeline at a launch station. It is propelled by the pressure differential of fluid or gas in pipelines. As it moves, onboard sensors scan the pipe wall to gather important data, such as the presence and location of corrosion or other anomalies on the inner walls of the pipe. Smart pigs use nondestructive examination techniques to inspect for erosion corrosion, metal loss, pitting, weld anomalies, among others. The procedure of inspection by the developing smart tool can help pipelines operator to find anomalies in advance or perform remediation or replace pipeline sections before oil or natural gas leakage been taken placed.
Industrial Applications:
1. Pipeline location and route detection.
2. Inspecting underground pipeline deformation and its location.
3. Measuring the wall thickness of underground pipelines along their entire length.
4. Established the operation policies for specific pipeline on oil and natural gas transportation.
5. Used for the inspection of long-distance underground oil and gas pipelines to ensure pipeline integrity and public safety
