1. High Data Precision: The electronic strike zone features an average margin of error of less than 1 cm, outperformimg the internationally recognized Trackman system (which has an error margin of approximately 3–6 cm).
2. Markerless Non-Wearable Technology: Utilizing a combination of markerless motion capture and multi-camera high-speed videography, the system requires no wearable sensors or equipment.
3. Comprehensive Data Coverage & Multi-Object Tracking: It provides a robust suite of data, including 16 pitching quality metrics, 15 biomechanical indicators, and batting data such as swing trajectory.

Industrial Applications:

ITRI's Taiwan Smart Baseball Technology System integrates AI vision, markerless biomechanics, and cloud data, demonstrating high industrial value. First, in professional tournaments and broadcasting, it is deployed in Tianmu and validated across professional venues like the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium and Taipei Dome, providing real-time pitch tracking, auto-recognition, and an electronic strike zone with under-10mm error. Enhanced by 3D rendering, it elevates umpiring fairness and the fan viewing experience.

Secondly, in scientific training and youth development, it replaces traditional radar by using high-speed cameras to capture full-body 3D joint coordinates without sensors. This allows precise analysis of biomechanics (like elbow torque) to optimize form and prevent injuries, while successfully bringing advanced sports science to grassroots and remote schools like Hongye Elementary. Finally, its cross-platform cloud database enables multi-dimensional historical queries and post-game analysis.
