Industrial Applications:
This project, “SatChain: A Trusted Monitoring and Audit System for Cold Chain Transportation,” integrates low Earth orbit satellites, edge sensing, and cybersecurity mechanisms to address the lack of real-time visibility and verifiable data in high-value cold chain cargo transportation across international waters.The system enables temperature and cargo status data to be transmitted in real time via satellite links. It also applies digital signatures and blockchain technology to ensure that monitoring records are tamper-resistant, traceable, and auditable. By combining real-time alerts with trusted data verification, SatChain provides a secure and intelligent cold chain monitoring platform that supports early risk detection, evidence-based auditing, and reliable decision-making throughout the transportation process.
CIFS Lab
Its research focuses on financial cybersecurity, industrial control system cybersecurity, healthcare cybersecurity, and satellite cybersecurity. The lab is organized into three groups: healthcare and connected vehicles, finance, and satellite. Weekly lab and group meetings support paper discussions, knowledge sharing, research updates, and collaboration.
