Exploring Value of IP & Innovative Technology!The International IP Strategy and Cross-Industry Innovation Summit at TICC on September 27th, 2018

        In the era of rapid development of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and international information exchange and cooperation, Taiwan enterprises must create more extra value for innovative technology with intellectual property rights and integrations of multi-disciplinal applications to serve and stand out from the severely competitive industry market. The “International IP Strategy and Cross-Industry Innovation Summit” held by the Ministry of Economic Affairs on September 27th, 2018 will address IPR's passive security defense, active value-creation, and the importance and value of the cross-domain integrated application with the title of "IP Redefining Future Business". It will lead Taiwan enterprises to redefine and create future business and commercial competition rules.

        The "International IP Strategy and Cross-Industry Innovation Summit" will be held on the first day of the "Taiwan Innotech Expo" at the Taipei International Convention Center on September 27th, 2018. It is hosted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Council of Agriculture, the National Development Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of National Defense. It shows that the government attaches importance to the issue of intellectual property rights while actively promoting major national policies such as the "5+2 Industrial Innovation Program". The forum will invite domestic and international key speakers from industry and academia, including Past President of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) - Prof. Dr. Heinz Goddar, Executive Director of Stanford Office of Technology Licensing - Katharine Ku, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm Technology Licensing - John Han, Managing Director and Head of Asia @ R3 - Carl Wegner, Head of Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft Greater China and Chief Marketing and Operations Officer at Microsoft Taiwan - Jason Tsao, Founder of Taiwan AI Lab - Ethan Tu, Head of Digital of KPMG Taiwan - Tracy Li and related speakers. The speakers will express their opinions from different perspectives such as key thinking of issues, industry-university-research cooperation, mergers, value-creation, and cross-domain integrated applications.

        The Summit is a major activity of The "Taiwan Innotech Expo" from September 27-29, 2018, the transformation of the 14th anniversary "Taipei Int’l Invention Show and Technomart". The event focuses on fields of innovative technology of the "5+2 Industrial Innovation Program", and features three Expo parks with themes of “Future Technology”, “Innovative Invention”, and “Sustainability”, respectively exhibiting scientific and technical works of interdisciplinary technology projects, while inviting international organizations and companies from Asia, Europe and North America to participate and exhibit with the goal of promoting Taiwan to be the major portal/platform for international R&D exchanging and technology trade between Southeast Asia and developed countries by utilizing Taiwan’s advantages in R&D energy and geographic location.
