USE OF ISORHOIFOLIN DERIVATIVES ON REGENERATION OF INJURED NEURONS
Technology Introduction:
Patients with traumatic brain injuries often develop brain lesions over time, which may lead to degenerative neurological diseases in the future. Therefore, early administration of medications that promote neural regeneration following brain injury is the solution for treatment. The invention provides uses of the Isorhoifolin derivatives for promoting regeneration of injured brain neurons and retinal neurons. Isorhoifolin also promotes recovery of motor function deficit.
Industry Applicability:
More than 60% patients with traumatic brain injury are young and middle-aged adults. Early treatment of these patients largely reduces neuronal death due to chronic inflammation. Moreover, the use of this invention would reduce the risk for developing neurodegenerative diseases. This invention is intended to be used in medical center to treat motor function deficit caused by traumatic brain injury.
