Technology Introduction:
The Intelligent Underwater Ecological Recognition System is primarily deployed in the waters surrounding power plants to protect the marine ecosystem and provide all-weather monitoring. This technology features four core functions: first, it utilizes fixed-point real-time video monitoring to replace traditional, costly, and disruptive manual diving surveys; next, it leverages YOLO-based AI object recognition technology to automatically count and identify the species and quantity of fish. Finally, the recognized data is processed through automated data storage and analysis, and integrated into a web platform for retrieval and queries, continuously accumulating ecological data to achieve sustainable green energy development.
Industrial Applications:
Traditional marine ecological surveys require hiring professional divers to conduct regular underwater investigations, manually counting and recording data. This approach is not only costly but also only yields fragmented data, making it impossible to capture long-term trends in ecological changes. More importantly, the diving surveys themselves disturb the natural behavior of marine life, compromising the objectivity of the observation results.The Intelligent Underwater Ecological Recognition System we developed deploys underwater cameras in the waters near power plant water intakes to continuously record fish activities. Utilizing AI image recognition technology, the system automatically counts and identifies the species and population of the fish.
