Technology Introduction:
‧ Technological Innovation – The proposed invention features an adaptive four-drive-leg support mechanism that automatically adjusts its front–rear span for different pipe diameters, enabling stable vertical climbing in pipelines larger than 24 inches and smooth passage through tee junctions. It also integrates an intelligent visual management platform for real-time monitoring of in-pipe cleaning performance and operational status.‧ Competitive or Intellectual Property Advantages – Developed with a total investment of NT$7.5 million, the system integrates the robot, cleaning modules, operation platform, and smart management platform, supported by two invention patents and one utility model patent, providing strong cost integration and intellectual property advantages.
‧ Important Achievements / Awards –Participated in major domestic and international invention exhibitions (2024–2026), receiving 1 Platinum, 11 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 4 Special Awards.
Industrial Applications:
The proposed invention features a modular dual-tracked in-pipe robot designed for industrial applications in petrochemical, natural gas, power, chemical, and public utility pipelines. It performs pipeline inspection, welding slag removal, foreign object cleaning, and maintenance operations. The system integrates high-resolution vision, a 50–200 m electro-optical composite transmission system, attitude monitoring, and an intelligent control platform to support long-distance and high-risk pipeline operations. Its modular architecture enables rapid maintenance, component replacement, and future expansion while incorporating ergonomic, portable, and user-friendly features. The design effectively reduces 3K (dirty, dangerous, and demanding) operational risks, labor costs, and downtime, significantly improving pipeline maintenance efficiency and intelligent asset management.
