Zero-energy House Exhibition: Implementing Smart Home and Micro-grid Technologies at Taipower Fengshan Dormitory
The zero-energy house exhibition at Taipower Fengshan Dormitory focuses on three topics:
(1) Smart microgrid integration: the exhibition house incorporates a 5kWp solar system and 10kWh energy storage battery. Household electricity is mainly supplied by solar energy, and supplemented by energy storage. When off-grid, the islanding mechanism prioritizes the solar and storage energies to supply urgent-demand loads. Utility power is used as the last resort when lacking solar and storage energies.
(2) Automatic demand response: the exhibition house shows the execution flow of demand response and reduction effect, demonstrating more flexible and dispatchable power resources saving control.
(3) Home energy management: the exhibition house collects AMI, smart home appliance and smart speaker through the Internet of Things (IoT) to achieve intelligent energy visualization and monitoring, which induces users to save energy and move towards a smart energy-saving home.
