A method of delivering drugs to the inner ear facilitated by microbubble, including mixing a microbubble composition and a drug into a microbubble-drug mixture, applying the microbubble-drug mixture to middle ear cavity, and placing a mechanical oscillation wave source in the external ear canal or cranium located behind the ear. The mechanical waves generated by the mechanical oscillation wave source penetrate through the tympanum or cranium and indirectly induce the cavitation with the microbubbles in the middle ear cavity. The permeability of the round window membrane thus increased and facilitated the drug penetrating the inner ear through the round window membrane. Therefore, the mechanical oscillation wave source could be indirectly applied to the microbubbles and induced the cavitation effect in a non-invasive way.
Innovation Pilot | Biotechnology & Medical careCurrently, resources for surgical education and training are quite limited. Even though virtual environments and sensing systems are used as surgical simulation and training tools, they lack the touch of real and casting to create spine and nerve models and use novel material technology to make the nervorgans, resulting in new residents and medical students lacking a real training environment during surgical training. conditions, and cannot be extensively trained for specific surgeries. To this end, our team has developed a bionic spine simulator with real-time signal feedback for surgical training in neuroma removal. This research will use 3D printing e model a flexible Piezoresistive sensor, when the neural model encounters pressure changes, the signal can be fed back to the panel immediately.
Innovation Pilot | Biotechnology & Medical careEgg yolk immunoglobulin (IgY) has the advantage of producing large amounts of high-specificity antibodies quickly and at low cost in the yolk. Let IgY become a new choice for preventing infection and detecting. The invention is relative to the composition of immunoglobulin IgY in the therapeutic/prevention of norovirus infection. The claim of this application including 1. the anti-norovirus Immunoglobulin IgY derived from chicken yolk, and the acceptable compositions. 2. The methodology for the preparation of this composition. 3. The purpose of this composition for treatment and/or prevention of norovirus infection.
Innovation Pilot | Biotechnology & Medical careThe present invention discloses a vascular bone organoid and its compression perfusion fabricator system. The compression-perfusion fabricator system includes a compression device, a culture tank, a perfusion device, and a microcomputer driver. The compression device and the perfusion device are controlled and adjusted through the microcomputer driver to provide dynamic mechanical compression and perfusion stimulation simultaneously. The system simulates the dynamic microenvironment within the human body. The present invention further utilizes 3D bioprinting technology to manufacture a vascular bone organoid, which is cultured in the compression-perfusion fabricator system, to mimic the growth of bone and vascular endothelial cells within the normal dynamic physiological environment of the bone marrow cavity.
