METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INDOOR POSITIONING AND DEVICE FOR CREATING INDOOR MAPS THEREOF
Osense Technology’s Vision-Based Indoor Position (VBIP) system is a novel indoor positioning and navigation method that uses the nature features captured from user’s portable device, such as image and geographic magnetic fingerprint. Through algorism, we denoised the necessary features and created mixed reality(MR) functions via cloud computing.
VBIP is a light and cost-efficient method that can fast and easily apply with no further sensors or equipment needed. Through SDK and API, Osense support other Apps to provide VBIP’s MR functions. By this, we believe that we have achieved a world leading position. VBIP system has been proven in real life cases including 36 BTS SkyTrain stations in Bangkok, Thailand and various locations in Taiwan. Furthermore, Osense Technology had just signed MOU with Waseda University, Japan, to work together on the Walking Rally Tokyo 2020 project. VBIP system will keep coordinating with other platform to create advanced lifestyle services, interactive advertising, and O2O e-commerce opportunities via AR/MR effects.
