It can interact with patients, collect information about their conditions, or provide health education; at the same time, it can understand nurses' instructions, help deliver medications, relay messages, and even guide visitors. This system particularly strengthens identity verification and personalized health education systems, sharing nurses' complex movement and communication tasks, allowing them to focus more on core care, saving 52% of time on personalized health education, environment navigation, and other tasks. Industry Applicability: This system targets healthcare settings, improving issues of nursing staff shortage and excessive workload. By integrating 5G communication, autonomous mobile robots, and large language model technology, the system assists medical staff in medication delivery, guidance explanations, and basic health education communication, effectively reducing nurses' in-hospital movement time by 6.6% and decreasing patient waiting time by an average of 13 minutes. This system not only saves working hours but also has the potential to expand to long-term care facilities, remote care in isolation wards, or as an assistive tool for rural healthcare, enhancing overall accessibility and quality of medical services.

Its operational area stretches from Taoyuan in the north to Tainan in the south, making it the only MSO (Multiple System Operator) in Taiwan with a complete regional footprint, covering 41% of the nation's territory. Taiwan Optical Platform was also the first MSO in Taiwan to offer fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services, with nearly 2,000 deployed base station circuits. In 2018, the group established an IoT platform integrating cloud technologies, and partnered with the government on urban innovation projects such as autonomous vehicles, smart factories, and smart streetlights. These initiatives contributed to the development of a comprehensive IoT supply chain and added value to its telecommunications business. Industry Applicability: Taiwan Optical Platform leverages a fiber-optic network foundation to support 5G private network deployment, integrating technologies such as digital twins, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and AI-based machining error detection. We focus on assisting factories in Taiwan’s central region—a key hub for the manufacturing and machine tool industries—in their 5G transformation. This technology combines tissue culture to produce healthy ginger seedlings with a specialized growing medium and uses an off-ground bag cultivation method to grow pathogen-free, healthy seed ginger. This approach not only features a high multiplication rate, a short acclimatization period, and a high survival rate of over 90%, but also enables the production of healthy, market-ready seed ginger within one year, ensuring a stable year-round supply. These efforts help enhance the overall yield and quality of cocoa plantations. The technical package includes: methods for investigating cocoa yield traits, analytical methods for determining antioxidant compounds (total phenolics and total flavonoids), and cocoa grafting techniques.

Field tests demonstrate over 4 hours of continuous operation with performance comparable to diesel tractors. Sustainability | AgricultureUsing a combination of multi-omics analysis and animal models, we screened for health-promoting probiotics from the bovine rumen to improve dairy cow health and milk quality. By comparing the microbiota and metabolome of healthy cows with those affected by mastitis, we identified and validated the functions of Ruminococcus flavefaciens and Bifidobacterium longum subsp. longum through in vitro fermentation and germ-free mouse fecal microbiota transplantation. We then developed a composite probiotic by integrating Lactobacillus salivarius and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Farm trials confirmed that this probiotic mix can significantly reduce the incidence of mastitis and increase milk yield and casein content, demonstrating its commercialization potential. Compared to most commercially available non-bovine strains, our technology utilizes strains isolated directly from dairy cows, offering superior colonization and functionality, and aligning with the trends of low-carbon and antimicrobial resistance reduction. The global market is growing by 7% annually, with a potential application scope of over 400,000 cows, estimating an annual output value of 2 billion NT dollars. This highlights its significant application potential and competitiveness.

Sustainability | Information & CommunicationsTechnology Introduction: This exhibit integrates NCSIST's 2024 hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and fuel cell exhibit modules. It is Taiwan's first mobile electrolysis hytrogen production and power generation system, which integrates a 6kw full self-made AEM electrolyser, 20 cubic meters of hydrogen storage alloy, 20kW fuel cell, and EMS. The system design includes water and thermal management, and can serve as proof-of-concept system of hydrogen-production power plants at the NCSIST Minxiong campus. In addition, the highlight of the exhibit is that the entire system operates in a low temperature (less than 80℃) and low pressure(less than 10 bar) environment, reducing concerns about the safety issue and accelerating the popularization of hydrogen energy.
