Bacillus licheniformis TCLigB and applied in producing compost
Technology Introduction:
Bacillus licheniformis strain TCLigB possesses the ability to decompose lignin and cellulose, solubilize phosphorus, and produce indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). It can be applied to the development of phosphate-solubilizing microbial fertilizers. This strain can be cultivated through liquid fermentation using raw materials such as rice bran, soybean meal, oats, and rice husk ash. The precipitated bacterial biomass can be dried and granulated, achieving a viable cell count of over 10⁸ CFU per gram of solid formulation. Biochar materials can also be utilized as a carrier. Since Bacillus licheniformis is officially announced by the Agriculture and Food Agency as an identified safe microbial fertilizer strain, it can significantly accelerate the commercialization and market launch of microbial fertilizer products. Co-inoculating strain TCLigB with Trichoderma spp. during the decomposition of fruit tree prunings can increase the population of Trichoderma, thereby accelerating the composting process and facilitating the development of fertilizer and culture media products.
