The Kaohsiung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (KDARES) is an agency under the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Taiwan, responsible for agricultural research, technology development, and extension services in Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Penghu County.
KDARES focuses its research on crop breeding, cultivation management, plant protection, soil and fertilizer management, agricultural product processing, agricultural mechanization, smart agriculture, and agricultural management. The station is dedicated to developing innovative technologies that meet the needs of the agricultural sector. Through farmer training, demonstration programs, technology transfer, and collaboration with academia and industry, KDARES helps improve agricultural productivity, reduce production costs, enhance product quality, and increase farmers' income.
