Precision Bee Pollination System for Facility Passion Fruit
Technology Introduction:
This technology features an automated beehive entrance opening and closing system that integrates a powered actuator with a programmable timing control mechanism to precisely regulate the timing of bee foraging activities according to the flowering schedule of passion fruit. When applied to facility passion fruit cultivation, the system enables bees to concentrate their pollination activities during the optimal flowering period, thereby improving pollination efficiency, increasing fruit set, and enhancing fruit quality while reducing variability in fruit size. Compared with conventional bee pollination without entrance control, implementing this automated precision management system further increases fruit yield by approximately 30%. Furthermore, it significantly reduces the labor requirements and operating costs associated with traditional hand pollination, thereby maximizing overall production efficiency.
