Broad-spectrum Insecticide Mixture Formulation

Technology Introduction:
Repeated application of a single pesticide is a common practice in agricultural pest management, but it accelerates the development of pest resistance and compromises long-term control efficacy. To address this challenge, we identified two active ingredients with distinct modes of action (MOA) that exhibit synergistic interactions and developed a novel co-formulation to enhance insecticidal performance. The formulation was optimized to ensure physical compatibility and stability, thereby minimizing problems commonly associated with tank mixing, such as sedimentation and flocculation, which may reduce efficacy or cause phytotoxicity. Laboratory bioassays demonstrated that the formulated product, diluted 2,000-fold, achieved 97.8% mortality against <Thrips> spp. within 24 h, indicating rapid and highly effective pest control. By integrating synergistic active ingredients into a single stable formulation, this technology simplifies pesticide application while improving efficacy and reducing the risk of improper mixing by growers. Furthermore, the formulation represents an important advancement in domestic pesticide formulation technology, addressing current industry demands for efficient, user-friendly, and resistance-management-oriented crop protection products. This technology provides a practical strategy for developing novel pesticide formulations with improved performance and greater applicability in sustainable agricultural production.
