Efficient lung delivery and tumor penetration of boron neutron capture therapy

Technology Introduction:
We developed the world’s first Functionalized Lung-targeting Lipid Nanoparticle (F-LNP) platform for lung cancer BNCT. The smart nanoparticle selectively delivers boron-10 drugs into lung tumors with deep tumor penetration. Triggered by the acidic tumor microenvironment, F-LNP enhances cellular uptake and enables precise alpha-particle-mediated cancer cell destruction after neutron irradiation, offering a highly targeted and low-toxicity therapy for advanced lung cancer.
Industrial Applications:
This technology overcomes the key limitation of BNCT in lung cancer by enabling efficient boron delivery and deep tumor penetration in lung tissues. It has strong potential for advanced lung cancer and metastatic tumor radiotherapy, and can be further expanded to pulmonary RNA therapeutics and gene delivery applications. The platform also offers high commercialization and global licensing potential within the rapidly growing BNCT market.
