Optically Transparent Polymer-Based Millimeter-Wave Reflective Surface
Technology Introduction:
Jointly developed by Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU) and BenQ Materials, this technology integrates an optically transparent polymer substrate with conductive thick-film microstructures to achieve passive directional reflection of 28 GHz millimeter-wave signals without external RF power or active control. Featuring optical transparency, low power consumption, and easy integration, it is suitable for building glass, vehicle windows, and LEO satellite ground communication systems.
Industrial Applications:
Featuring high optical transparency and passive directional reflection at 28 GHz, this technology requires no external RF power or active control. It can be integrated into LEO satellite ground equipment, architectural glass, and vehicle windows to improve millimeter-wave signal coverage while maintaining optical transparency. It offers strong application potential for 6G, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and satellite communications.
