Originally, button mushrooms couldn’t get out of the frame that they had to grow on composted substrates. The technology developed by TARI can avoid the complicated procedures of making compost, and avoid the variables such as incomplete fermentation, inappropriate moisture, and insufficient decomposition that are prone to occur due to the lengthy compost preparation time. Therefore, this production technology does not need to make compost. The required formula can be blended on the day of preparation and put into sterilization, and the substrate made with the formula can be inoculated the next day after cooling. This technology can eliminate the difficult problem of timing the strain preparation to match with the completion schedule of composting. Mushroom harvesting can be started about 18 days after soil casing by the technology, and economic profits can be effectively obtained using 52 days as a cycle (including cleaning houses).
