The technology of mass production and cold storage is based on biocontrol concept to use native egg parasitoid () to control invasive pest – litchi stink bug (). Recently, by releasing , which could decrease chemical pesticide usage, has great performance to control litchi stink bug in the field. In order to improve the production efficiency to supply enough egg parasitoid to apply in Taiwan. Our team develops the cold storage technology to extend shelf life of factitious host ( egg) from 1 to 5 months and extend shelf life of from 20 days to 5 months. Therefore, based on this innovative technology, biological product supplier could prepare for make-to-stock production to enhance the flexibility of mass production procedure.
