1. This technology is a new variety of cut flowers of ‘Kaohsiung No. 3’ is a tulip type, with annual cut flower yield of 6-7 stems, which is stable year round. The spathe width measured 11-13 cm; and pedicel length 50-67 cm, which meet the export specifications of 50 cm or more. Its vase life is about 14 days.
2. The rapid propagation system of the new cultivar has been established by use of leaf culture and subsequent adventitious shoot regeneration. The flowering only takes 10 months from the in vitro plantlet to maturation, with a flowering rate of 50％.
