A high value-added invention on powdered machining equipment for fish bone/scale
Fish by-products from manufacturing process are embodied rich nutrition but usually used as miscellaneous materials in terms of feeding food for animals, or sold by lower prices. Fish bones and scales are full of calcium appropriated as nutritional supplements for all age layers. However their value-added in the market were insignificant because of huge pattern and difficulties in manufacturing and distribution. A creative invention on manufacturing equipment and process for value-added market-end is required. This invention aims at the powdered fish-bone and-scales by designing the series of manufacturing processes in which devices related to bone and meat separation, and in subsequence of utilization on fish by-products. The powdered equipment is devised and experimented to create value for bone and scales utilization in terms of calcium supplement materials. The invention considered in the powder equipment systems are control of warming and constant temperatures, boosting and constant pressures, time, and recording, vinegar collection functions. In association with value-added effectiveness, a device of recording yield ratios is companied in all systems. The equipment and systems development and experimental results can significantly increase the competitive advantage for aquaculture industry and provide the natural calcium materials for people, and enhance the aquaculture industry as well.
The Engineering and Technology Promotion Center (ETPC) has been established in 1965 at National Cheng Kung University. It is the exclusive unit continuously supported by the Department of Engineering and Technologies, National Science and Technology Council under projects. The main missions of ETPC are to integrate and promote the academic research achievements, especially in engineering areas to the industry, and to upgrade/add the values of technologies in production development. This center plays an important role as a “bridge” between the academia and industry. In ETPC, an "eTop-Engineering and Technology Open Promotion platform" (www.etop.org.tw) has been established and managed online since 2011. In which, the reports of research projects supported by the Department of Engineering and Technologies, has been digital archived for reference since 2005.
