Microgrid can regulate voltage and frequency to improve power supply stability and the utilization rate of the renewable energy. To achieve economic balance between the demand and the supply, the microgrid energy management system will use the forecast of load and renewable energy to execute the unit commitment of generator sets.
When the actual load and renewable energy deviate from the forecast, the original scheduling result cannot meet the target to control the generator sets. In this report, we propose a real time dispatch technology which can revise and execute the generation scheduling result immediately. Through the test result of distributed control, the forecast of load and renewable energy and the real time dispatch technology can reduce the operating cost of isolated microgrid.
