The intelligent operation of multi-microgrid relies on the construction of an energy management system based on edge, fog and cloud-based hierarchical information and communication system architecture. This system includes photovoltaic and load demand forecasting, seamless transition between grid-tied and islanding operation mode, V2G/G2V of electric vehicle, power flow calculation, as well as reinforcement learning and heuristic algorithms apply to day-ahead scheduling and hour-ahead optimal dispatching. Therefore, each microgrid can operate autonomously and in coordination, and to reduce peak load, power loss, and improve energy efficiency in the entire system.
