Lactobacillus paracasei generating optical purity L-lactic acid from non-detoxification lignocellulosic hydrolysate
A lactic acid production strain, the lactobacillus paracasei subsp. parecasei 7B, has high tolerance of the inhibitors in cellulosic hydrolyzate, thus suits for the biochemical process using various lignocellulosic feedstocks. It also has very good efficiency in producing lactic acid via metabolizing glucose, and the optical purity of the produced lactic acid is more than 99.5%.
