The technique of microbial insecticide: green muscardine fungus <Metarhizium anisopliae> MA-126

Green muscardine fungus() MA-126 formulation is microbial insecticide, having no residue on agricultural productions and no safety harvesting limitation problem, is a environmental friendly and human healthy safe product. It can be used in organic agricultural farming. It has strong pathogenicity with wide host ranges against agricultural pests, such as Lepidoptera(e.g. diamondback moth 、beet army worm 、corn borer)、Coleoptera(e.g. coconut leaf beetle 、rhinoceros beetle )、Hemiptera(e.g. lychii stink bug)、Blattodea(e.g. american cock roach ). The DNA fingerprinting and identification of MA-126 was analyzed by Food Industry Research Institute and also preserved in gene bank of Institute. The mass production of MA-126 by solid fermentation and conidia were collected to formulate wettable powders at concentration 10^9 conidia/g. The physical property GLP analysis and toxicity test of MA-126 formulation also done and reported by Taiwan Agricultural Chemicals and Toxic Substance Research Institute, Council of Agriculture. For biocontrol effect field test, MA-126 WP formulation against cruciferous diamondback moth and lychii stink bug were implemented at three field spots respectively under experimental use permit (EUP) protocol. The satisfactory results were obtained. The biocontrol field test against bee mites is under doing in this year.
