The technology provides a catalyst and method for producing the same. It comprise the electric arc furnace slag for catalyst substrate, and preparing the absorbent. Most of the energy used in the industry boiler is from hydrocarbon fuels. The contaminants such as sulfur, chlorine compounds, and tars, formed during the combustion and gasification. It may damaged the environment and human body without clean treatment. Therefore, the industry needs a novel catalyst composition to solve the problems encountered in the prior art.
