In real life, we usually rely on our past experiences to prevent risk from danger. While proceeding the important engineering project, we need to reduce the risk as much as we can. Therefore, we apply Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) to assess the risk of the important projects.
According to “Regulations for Safety Inspection of Hazardous Machines and Equipment”, the industry should submit QRA report to the authority before building a new Liquefied Nature Gas (LNG) tank . The Institute of Nuclear Energy Research has more than 40 years of experience in implementing QRA related work. In the past, it mainly solved problems of nuclear power plants. The technology is applied across fields to LNG terminal stations, defining the risk range of LNG receiving stations, confirming compliance with regulatory requirements, and figuring out important sources of the risk contribution, to provide the industry as an operational reference.
