Nutrition management of neonatal piglets to improve litter size and litter weight at weaning

In Taiwan, sow herds are bred toward high productivity in the context of limited land. However, due to the hot and humid climate, sows fail to consume adequate feed and cannot provide enough nutrients to their litters. This results in the reduction of overall meat production and an increase in rearing costs.

This expertise includes a unique feeding system and a range of milk replacers related to sow’s milk composition. It is easy to use, spill-proof and hygienic, and its benefits have been well-proven on the farm. This system is installed in farrowing pens and offers 24/7 fresh milk replacer to piglets, to meet their nutritional requirements, and finally compensate for negative effects related to large litter sizes, such as weakness, insufficient milk intake, and high preweaning mortality and culling rate.
