Batch processing and multi-line operation technology for mushroom stem cutting
This technology integrates existing food-grade transmission belts with mechatronics to create an intermittent transmission mechanism for three working lines. The resulting machine operates stably and, with operator assistance, can process over 6,000 mushrooms per hour with a cutting error rate below 2%. The absence of mechanical oil eliminates concerns about contamination, making this an ideal solution for mushroom farmers.
The Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), Ministry of Agriculture, is an affiliated research institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, responsible for agricultural experimentation and research. The headquarters is located in Wufeng District, Taichung City, with three branch stations in East District, Chiayi City; Gukeng Township, Yunlin County; and Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City. The headquarters covers 129.8 hectares, of which 33.68 hectares are occupied by buildings—including the administration building, research buildings, and various ancillary facilities—while the experimental farm covers 96.12 hectares, making it the largest agricultural research farm in Taiwan.
