Utilizing lightning detection instruments LD-250, EFM-100, ERL-10 to collect real-time lightning information, and using software to integrate and visualize the data on an interface, establishing a lightning monitoring platform. Through the monitoring platform, it can provide early warnings of weather threats to specific locations and prevent damage in advance. Integrating lightning strike locations across Taiwan and using color codes to indicate areas prone to lightning strikes assists users in analyzing areas susceptible to lightning, thereby reducing the probability of being struck.
In line with the current national policy of building small and strong armed forces and improving military education, in May 2000 the Armed Forces University, National Defense Medical College, National Defense Management College, and Chung Cheng Institute of Technology were integrated into one university, National Defense University(NDU).
