The Development of Spin Rate and Axis Calculating System of Baseball Pitches
In this project, we calculate the spin rate of baseball using high speed camera. A simulation of baseball is used in animation software blender to generate different spin rate and axis, and then the balls fetched from the games are analyzed to match the simulation balls in blender using machine learning algorithms. The result is promising and spin rates can now be calculated with high speed cameras.
