Technology Introduction: Achieves precise control over pitch speed, location, and type, and integrates a pitching database and video system to simulate realistic pitcher-batter scenarios. Industry Applicability: Integrates machine structure, calibration feedback system, cloud-based data storage, and projection display system to provide coaches and players with comprehensive and efficient training support, ultimately improving team performance and real-game competitiveness.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: This system integrates ball and player tracking, biomechanical analysis, and ultra-wide-angle imaging to create a comprehensive video and data platform for baseball. Utilizing high-speed cameras, the technology employs computer vision and image stitching techniques to automatically extract game data. The information is then subjected to AI algorithms for sophisticated analysis, storage, and visualization. The platform also allows coaches and analysts to intuitively monitor player performance and optimize training and tactical decisions. Industry Applicability: This system offers a holistic solution for game stats analytics, seamlessly integrating the entire in-game data pipeline from image capture and AI computation to storage. The technology has broad applications across diverse sectors, including media, fan data websites, and professional scouting and analysis.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: The AI Coach Motion Detection System combines the AI Coach platform with a self-developed PoseNet model to detect 17 skeletal points without the need for wearables, improving gait recognition for the elderly. In collaboration with the AI Coach team at Chinese Culture University, the system leverages cloud-based normative data to generate personalized health reports and exercise suggestions, integrating heart rate, step count, and other physiological metrics to support smart health management across clinics, communities, gyms, and schools.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: This project establishes four key training systems—pitching, batting, base-running, and physical conditioning—integrated with a central database and video analysis technology. It develops a science-based training curriculum centered on pitching and hitting, incorporating sports biomechanics and injury prevention. Personalized data tracking and cloud integration enable a highly practical and data-driven training framework. Industry Applicability: The system can be applied in schools, team training facilities, and sports centers as a tool for sports education and the implementation of technology-based training. It also supports the development of age-specific training environments and talent cultivation mechanisms, further expanding the baseball technology industry chain.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: Focusing on three core strategies—technology adoption, data application, and industry integration—this project installs the Hawk-Eye system at Tianmu Baseball Stadium to advance the application of sports science in professional baseball. The system captures precise performance data during games and training sessions, enhancing tactical analysis, player development, and spectator engagement, while supporting the commercialization of baseball technology. Industry Applicability: Aligned with the 2025 World Masters Games (Taipei & New Taipei) baseball events, AI-based baseball data collection will be implemented across 12 games, with data provided to participating teams. The Hawk-Eye system will be deployed at Tienmu Baseball Stadium to validate the electronic strike zone, achieving an error margin of less than 1 cm, on par with Major League Baseball’s Hawk-Eye accuracy, and is expected to further improve to 5 mm in the future. This advancement will not only reduce strike zone disputes but also enhance overall game flow and efficiency.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: By integrating projection stitching and 3D interactive technology with AR glasses, a realistic pitching and batting training experience is created. While wearing the glasses, users can watch live games and view real-time player data and match information, as well as ask questions to the built-in AI. Game footage is displayed on side walls, where AR-powered facial recognition presents additional details. By scanning a QR code with a smartphone, users can access selected data and enjoy a multidimensional sports technology interactive experience. Industry Applicability: Since motion-capture suits can accurately capture athletes’ movements and translate them into dynamic 3D visualizations, they can recreate a pitcher’s throw or a batter’s stance, including ball spin, angle of attack, and hitting posture. Within the immersive projection environment, users can experience the on-site feeling and perceive the ball’s speed.
Future Tech | Life ApplicationTechnology Introduction: An interactive experience on informed consent and data authorization is provided, accompanied by a demonstration video of the Taiwan Sports Data Platform, allowing users to understand how data is securely utilized in sports technology. Industry Applicability: Recognizing the value and benefits generated from personal data usage after signing informed consent.
