Manufacturing Technology of Electric-Shock Fruit and Melon Fly Traps
Technology Introduction:
Designed to account for the phototactic and upward-flying behaviors of fruit and melon flies, the electrocution-type fruit and melon fly trap features a high-voltage, low-current "bottom-mounted electrified grid" integrated with a bait box base where attractants are housed. As the flies attempt to approach the lure, they are instantly electrocuted and drop clear of the device. Because the attractants remain physically isolated from the insect bodies, their operational lifespan is effectively prolonged. Furthermore, the electrocuted insects fall directly to the ground without adhering to the grid or accumulating inside the bait box, thereby eliminating the need for frequent maintenance and cleaning. The concealment of the bottom-mounted grid within the device also ensures operational safety. The deployment of this electrocution trap significantly enhances the area-wide pest management efficacy of agricultural lure stations aimed at the annihilation of both male and female flies.
