Development of Low-Power, Low-Latency Edge Intelligent Sensing Chips Using Embedded Analog Flash Programming for Event-Driven Sensing and Analog Recurrent Neural Networks with Direct Analog-to-Token Conversion
Technology Introduction:
We develop fast-programming technology for embedded analog flash memories to design event-driven adaptive sensing front-end integrated circuits and an analog recurrent neural network chip that directly converts continuous-time analog sensor waveforms into tokens, eliminating the latency and power consumption associated with quantization and digital data movement. It meets edge-intelligent sensing requirements with ultra-low power, low-latency, and high-performance capabilities, suitable for wearable healthcare, industrial IoT, and autonomous vehicles.
Industrial Applications:
This technology leverages flash memory and CMOS process to realize low-power, low-latency event-driven adaptive sensing circuits and an analog recurrent neural network chip, which directly processes continuous analog sensor signals and removes the power and latency bottlenecks caused by ADCs and data movement. It is suited for smart healthcare, edge IoT, autonomous vehicles, intelligent robotics, and industrial automation, enabling long-term monitoring, real-time alerts, and efficient edge inference.
