Safety Monitoring System using Intelligent Image Recognition on Crane Operation Areas and Hoisting
In order to prevent accidents during the hoisting operation of cranes, a safety control monitoring system has been developed. The system uses an intelligent image recognition technology to monitor dangerous areas during operation, which includes range setting, monitoring objects (events) within the range, and subsequent triggering of message pushes, alarms, system alerts, and so forth. The technology is expected to be further promoted and applied to the monitoring of various dangerous areas on construction sites, such as windows, elevator openings, shafts, stairwells, etc., as well as areas where the risk of falling may occur during labor operations.Targeting the hoisting operation of construction engineering cranes, it includes the identification and setting of hanging dangerous areas and a smart image recognition device system is developed to control the safety of personnel under operating conditions. It will provide the construction engineering industry with safety monitoring of mobile hoisting operations The equipment is automated to improve its efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve a safer working environment.
The Institute of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health, , Ministry of Labor originally named the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, was officially established in August 1992 under the efforts of the government and the academia, becoming the most important research institute responsible for occupational safety and health in Taiwan. Over the years, the Institute has strived to research and analyze various issues that may endanger labor health and safety and improve working conditions. The Institute has proposed different solutions from social, economic, cultural, preventive, controlling, and medical perspectives, and the research results are used not only for formulating and amending domestic labor and occupational safety and health policies and regulations, but are also promoted to the industry via research papers, publications, the internet, exhibitions, and technology transfer, which help to enhance local labor and occupational safety and health standards in order to reach the goal of ensuring labor safety and health. The Institute has achieved significant results.
