Heat tolerance of ‘AVPP1708’ sweet pepper confirmed by an F2 Population segregating for heat tolerance
A total of 240 F2 plants (80 plants x 3 replications), the heat tolerant parent ‘AVPP1708’, heat sensitive parent ‘AVPP1714’, and F1 hybrid progeny CCA15866 (4 plants x 3 replications) were sown on 3 March 2020. Anthesis and fruit set were evaluated after 9 May. Identified yield differences between heat tolerance parent ‘AVPP1708 and heat sensitive parent ‘AVPP1714’ and performance of the F2 population segregated.
