Self-learning robot arms are the key technology for the future of the manufacturing industry towards the AI era. At present, robot arms in factories must rely on professional engineers to customize control programs for different applications to achieve tasks, resulting in time-consuming and labor-intensive for production line changes. Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), ITRI develops self-learning random workpiece picking and placing technology, which is simple, easy to use, and complements labor demand.
