NCU-Covestro Research Center: Research and Development of Green Advanced Functional Materials and Manufacturing Processes
To achieve the goal of sustainable product development and business transformation, Covestro has taken the discovery of novel bio-based materials as new strategy to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel-based raw material. With the same spirit, Covestro keeps looking for more efficient catalytical and separating methods in order to reduce waste and energy consumption during production processes. To achieve the strategic goal of sustainable business and participate in transformation of chemical industry in Taiwan, Covestro needs to exploit talents both in industry and academic institutes. Combining extraordinary research resource and resource of National Central University in chemistry, biotechnology and material science and Covestro’s technical competences in Energy curable technology, the liaison creates a great and rare opportunity for industrial and fundamental research. The topics of this research project are:
A: Green renewable chemical raw materials
B: Green high-efficient catalysts and functional polymer polymerization
C: New photo-initiators
D: New optoelectronic materials
