Through scientific research integration, ITRI establishes a hydrogen energy industry development platform at Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City to build the first demonstration and verification site for hydrogen production, transportation, storage and application. In addition, to fully present the function of the demonstration site, ITRI integrates MW-level renewable electricity, hundred-MW level electrolysis system for hydrogen production, hybrid energy storage system with battery and hydrogen energy, distributed generation, heat application by combustion, and the purification of recycling hydrogen in order to assist industries in planning the technical roadmap for hydrogen development to reach the goal of net zero emissions.
