Interdigitated Back Passivated Contact solar cell

IBC solar cells with efficiency over 24% have also been reported. However, the cost of IBC solar cells is about twice that of industrial solar cells and the manufacturing process is complex and difficult to be accepted by industry. Here, a new type of heterojunction solar cell with a rear passivated contact structure has been introduced (interdigitated back passivated contact, IBPC) , which successfully introduced tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) technology to save process steps and costs. The photovoltaic properties of the prepared solar cell are measured under AM 1.5 G simulated light. The measured data are VOC = 701.6 mV, JSC = 41.5 mA/cm2, FF = 82.53%, and η = 24.03%.
