In the global wave of intelligent technologies, the challenge for Taiwan’s bicycle industry is no longer only to manufacture high-quality components, but to start from the needs of riders.The Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center has developed an intelligent e-bike that integrates electronic components, sensing modules, and control systems into a smart complete-bike system capable of real-time response. At intersections, on slopes, or on uneven roads, it uses AI image recognition to detect traffic and pedestrians ahead. Based on people and vehicle dynamics, riding rhythm, and road surface changes, it coordinates power assistance and suspension response to reduce riding risks and deliver a smoother, more stable ride.
The Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center has brought together more than 30 cross-disciplinary companies to form the CCPA alliance, linking complete-bike systems and is expected to reduce integration costs by 40% while increasing the value of high-end products by more than 30%. This will help Taiwan’s bicycle industry move beyond manufacturing strengths toward the export of intelligent complete-bike systems.

Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) was established with the support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (R.O.C.) and the Cycling Industry in 1992. We devote ourselves to assist the industry in having a better development with the goal of enriching the constitutions of the Cycling and Health Industry in Taiwan as well as upgrading the competence and competitiveness in the international market.
