B.A.S.E. — Baseball Advanced Science & Evaluation Platform
Technology Introduction:
This platform integrates venue data, game data, and APIs to demonstrate real-world applications of baseball data. It combines player tracking, skeletal motion data, pitching and batting metrics, and advanced visualizations, presenting the results through 3D simulations, animated replays, and an interactive web interface. Visitors can explore how data supports training analysis, scouting, tactical decision-making, and game management.
Industrial Applications:
The system can be used in baseball and softball games, training centers, team management, scouting, and ballpark operations. By combining pitching and batting data, player tracking, 3D simulations, and advanced charts, it helps coaches, players, scouts, and organizers better understand performance, make decisions, develop talent, and manage games more efficiently.
Taiwan Institute of Sports Science
The Taiwan Institute of Sports Science (TISS), established in 2024 under the Ministry of Education’s Sports Administration, is a public nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sports science research and applications and enhancing Taiwan’s international athletic competitiveness. TISS provides sports science support for national athletes’ training and competitions, conducts research and technology development in sports science, and assists Taiwan in achieving outstanding results in international events such as the Olympic Games, Asian Games, and World University Games. The institute includes three divisions—Sports Science Research, Sports Science Development, and Excellence Performance—responsible for training and testing development, technology application, data analysis, and tactical intelligence.
