The Park adopts negative pressure ventilation systems for pig housing and performs multifaceted functions of resource recycling, environmental education, young farmer cooperation, and modern pig farming technology. It is the world’s first pig farm to be honored with the BS8001 Circular Economy Certification and Circular Economy Sustainability Award issued by BSI. The biogas center combines manure from both inside and outside of the Park with local agricultural waste into co-digestion to produce biogas for electricity generation, and to utilize biogas slurry and residue for resource circulation; the water treatment system also helps water recycling and reuse. It successfully turns over a new leaf for the sustainability of swine production in Taiwan.
