Automotive displays are widely adopted into the interior designs of modern cars. Many of them require touch function as their user interface. Meanwhile, Local Dimming is applied to improve the contrast ratio in dark scenes while brighten the highlights at the same time by dimming the backlight zones. This project combines display, touch, and local dimming controller into one chip which could lead to good display quality, good touch performance, and low cost. As a platform IC, users can extent their applications by cascading up to 4 chips.
